Rusty Roof Vineyard

Well before Norcon Building started construction on our Rusty Roof Vineyard cellar door, we had a clear vision for the final result. Our original plan was to convert a 130-year-old barn into a cellar door, simply putting in a bar to sell our wine. While we did not originally want a commercial kitchen and bathrooms, regulations required a commercial building, so that is what we built. I painstakingly took down that old barn piece by piece, and Norcon Building rebuilt it inside our new commercial structure. The final result was a rustic feel inside a modern commercial building, which was exactly what we envisioned. It takes a huge amount of skill to reuse 130-year-old materials and fit them into a modern building. The team at Norcon Building took care of everything, meeting every commercial requirement without exception.
We could not have asked for a more professional job, and we highly recommend Norcon Building to anyone looking for high-quality building or renovation work.

The Rusty Roof Vineyard Cellar Door was designed to honour the property's history while creating a warm and inviting space for visitors. Throughout the project, we carefully incorporated materials from the original barn, including the reclaimed timber wall lining, structural hardwood timbers and the original corrugated roofing, which now forms the feature roof above the bar.
The building also features a soaring ceiling, a large glass fireplace with a custom concrete bench poured on site, and bespoke finishes throughout. Combining traditional materials with modern construction techniques, this project reflects our commitment to quality craftsmanship, practical building solutions and preserving the character of a place.
